Matt Launder, Operations Manager

With a background in financial compliance and leadership, Matt brings valuable expertise to the company to support ongoing growth.

As Operations Manager, he oversees the financial and administrative functions at RES, ensuring that project valuations are accurate and that payments are processed in line with contract agreements. He also works closely with clients to set up and manage accounts, helping to streamline project administration from start to finish.

In addition to his financial responsibilities, Matt plays a key role in handling tax returns, improving business processes, and leading the company’s efforts to secure important industry certifications, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.

Before joining RES, Matt worked as a VAT Compliance Officer at HMRC, where he specialised in auditing business financials, ensuring compliance, and providing guidance to help businesses avoid future risks. His role also involved on-site investigations to assess business operations first hand, giving him a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Beyond his professional expertise, Matt also serves as a Corporal within the Army Reserves – E Squadron, The Royal Yeomanry, Royal Armoured Corps. He is currently seconded to 4 Mercian, C Company, allowing him to further develop his leadership skills in a high-pressure infantry environment – experience that translates seamlessly into managing operations at RES.

With his blend of financial expertise, operational efficiency, and leadership skills, Matt is already making an impact within the company to support RES to be the best it can be.
