Witham Wharf – Full Electrical Refurbishment & Fire Remediation

Project Background

Witham Wharf, a landmark residential development in the centre of Lincoln, required a comprehensive electrical refurbishment and fire safety upgrade to bring all systems in line with current UK standards.

Real Electrical Solutions (R.E.S) were appointed to design, manage, and deliver the full scope of electrical and fire safety works across this occupied, high-rise apartment complex — ensuring minimal disruption to residents while enhancing safety, reliability, and compliance throughout the building.

Services Provided

R.E.S delivered a full programme of high-end commercial electrical and fire safety installations, including:

  • Fire alarm system upgrades and full integration across apartments and communal areas.
  • Emergency lighting installation in corridors, stairwells, and escape routes.
  • Replacement and upgrading of distribution boards and consumer units.
  • Mains cabling replacement and load balancing.
  • Smoke and heat detector installations throughout the development.
  • Full testing, commissioning, and NICEIC certification.
  • Resident access coordination and live site management.
  • Liaison with building control and fire safety consultants to ensure compliance.

All works were delivered to BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 (IET Wiring Regulations), BS 5839 (Fire Detection and Alarm Systems), BS 5266 (Emergency Lighting Systems), and Building Regulations (Part B and Part P).
